Update on the Apel question:

Ernst Apels christening document:
Bindenbach, District Hersfeld
Borough Kassel

ERNST APELS was christened on 16th November, 1867 at house No. 19 3/4 in the parish of Bindenbach.

He was born on 24th October, 1867 as son of Johann Adam Apels, Cooper by trade, (Barrelmaker) and his wife Anna Martha nee Kehl.

His godfather was Ernst Brandt, a single Cooper journeyman.
This is certified on account of the parish register.
