Thanks for the link. I have the info from the books by Larned, Beer, and Bayles. It seems like pretty much all that there is published. In public records, I have found that Edmond Badger aquired all of his land (3000 acres) by buying out other heirs of Joshua Abbe. His wife was an Abbe heir. Pretty creative financing and alot of guts. He was mortgaged to everyone. All the traditional info starts with "about 1810, Edmond Badger purchased a run down sawmill and converted it to a paper mill". I'm looking to go pre 1810.
