I'd be very interested in the letter from John S. Badger. My gg-grandfather was John Snow Badger (born about 1815 in Vermont). He ended up living near Junction City, Kansas. His wife, Lucinda Fowler was born in Pennsylvania (or Ohio, we've seen both mentioned in different documents) and they were married in Trumbull Co. Ohio in 1839. I have not found any information that he was involved in the Civil War (he may have been too old), but John and Lucinda had a son also named John S. Badger who would have been 18 or so near the beginning of the Civil War. I'd love to know more about the letter you have.
