Hello cousins et cousines.
I have spent the past two days in the elusive hunt for a baptismal record for my 3g Memere, Angele COTE daughter of FX Cote and Louise "Angele" Bedard. She was born before June 1813 and I assume after the marriage of her parents. She married FX Dubois..... their ONLY marriage. Some say his second but I did not find it yet.
There was much confusion because Angele's father had a brother Francois n. abt 1802 who married Angelique BEDARD. To confuse us more, these were brothers who married sisters (they are having babies at same time as evidenced by 1851 census).
The confusion continues in a circle of names that are same, similar or homophonic (Cote and Rose/Rosalie Marion)
I am going to post what I currently have. Watch the facts and inline noted sources please, and the end notes should also help. I tried to indicate copyrights where indicated. LDS, AutomatedGenealogy.com have copyrights.
If anyone has been successful in finding additional siblings for the children of the marriage of FX Cote and Rose Marion, I would be happy to receive them as they are 1/2 siblings to Angele COTE.
