Here is an explanation:

Narcisse Trudeau was the militia captain of Shefford county where is located the village of Roxton Falls. The militia captain was a kind of civil servant with limited power in military matters and justice matters of minor importance. This type of civil servant existed in every county of the Province de Québec. It appears that he presided an inquest to determine if the cause of the death of François Roger was natural or not. The verdict determined that the cause of the death was natural, even if it was sudden and unexpected.

I have corrected the french version of the sepulture record. It should be read as follows:

Le huit septembre mil huit cent-soixante-deux, nous prêtre soussigné avons inhumé dans le cimetière paroissial le corps de Francois Roger, décédé subitement depuis deux jours, comme il appert par le verdict rendu sous la présidence de Narcisse Trudeau Écuyer, Capitaine de Milice de Shefford, en date du six courant, âgé de cinquante-huit ans, époux d'Angélique Dagenais de cette paroisse, en présence d'Anaclet Petit et Raphaël Tarte, qui n'ont pu signer.
