I am searching for records on John Begg who married Dorcas Taverner in Somerset 1867. I have records of the 1881 and 1901 Census for Cardiff where they were living and their marraige certificate which gives johns age of 23, this would mean he was born abt 1844. Johns fathers name was George Begg. The census states his origin of birth as St Petershead for 1881 and just Scotland for 1901 so this does not help me as I am assuming that it would have been Peterhead?. any suggestions as to were to go from here would be appreciated.
