I have two men listed as the father of my great grandfather William George Begg. Both men George Charles Begg and Alexander Begg are married to Savina (Lavina, Sevina, Serina) Elizabeth Anne Glover Begg-Begg. Savina is born Abt. 1859 in Saltfleet Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada. Savina marries George Charles Begg on January 16th 1878 in Saltfleet Township, Wentworth County, Ontario. Present at their wedding are John and Margaret Begg (Parents or brother and sister or Aunt and Uncle) and George and Abigail Glover (Parents) and Joshua and Martha Smith. Savina and George have two sons, the first being, Joshua Hewitt Begg born February 10, 1879 and William George Begg born July 27, 1881 in Ontario, Canada. Rumor has it that Savina ran off, taking the children and left George who died of a broken heart. She marries Alexander Begg (I don't know if this is George's cousin, brother, nephew or no relation at all). In Canada William George is listed as George's son and in Illinois he is listed as the son of Alexander. Alexander and Savina (listed as Sevina E, Mrs.) marry in Cook County, Illinois on January 9th 1893. She and Alexander come into the USA in 1891 and her son my great grandfather does not arrive until 1896. My grandfather George Benedict Begg, Sr., is born to William George and Frances Mary Kiley. George Benedict, Sr. is born May 20, 1904 in Chicago, Illinois. My father Thomas William Begg is born February 14, 1927 to George and Mary Catherine Hammond. If anyone has any information on George Charles or Alexander Begg I would appreciate the help.
