I'm not sure if this helps at all. My great grandmothers name was Dolores Caballero. She married into a poor family. His name was Alejandro Ayala. The story that I heard was when they announced their engagement, Dolores's family disowned her for 'marrying down'. Do you know if any of this is true? I hope this helps.
