I have an Isaac J. Fonda, b 6 May 1753 in Albany; m Antje Van Santvoord in Albany 11 Apr 1779. She was the dau of Cornelius Santvoord and Ariaantje Bratt. He was the s of Isaac Isaacse Fonda (1723-1756) and Cornelius Deforest (1723-1760). References are Reynolds, Cuyler, Hudson-Mohawk genealogical and family memoirs (New York, 1911), p 1002; Reynolds, Genealogical and Family History of Southern New York (New York, 1914), p 942; and Pearson, Jonathan, First Settlers of Schenectady, 236. My records only have one son from the marriage of Isaac J. and Antje, Cornelius, b 12 Sep 1781, although there were undoubtedly others. Isaac J. died in Albany 15 Sep 1826. Antje died 10 Apr 1842.
