obituary of Wallace Charles Haden, 100 ,of Fluvanna Co.VA died Saturday, march 22, 2008. He was the son of Charles Bledsoe Haden and Edna Lillian Haden, and was also prededed in death by two brothers, Garnett B. and James B. Haden: four sisters, Leone Browning, Madge Sclater,Lois Talley and Genevieve Kinsley. Survivors include his wife of 70 years,Evelyn Bourne Haden, One daughter, Margie Porter of San Jose, Costa Rica, four grandchildren, nine gr-grandchildern and numerous nieces and nephews. He was raised on Haden Martin Road near Palmyra and managed a W.P,A crew in Depression time. He was a painter and a carpenter and retired from R.C.OMohundro Oil Company A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday,Mar20, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church in Fluvanna with the Reverend Buddy Woodson officiating A often notice the name Haden in my search for Members of My Pace family who lived near a Haden family. My grgrandfather was John r.Pace b. 1809 My grandparents were John Walker Pace b. 1843 and Rebecca Ann Robinson, dau. of David C. Robinson and Mary A.HErndon. When Mary Herndon Robinson applied for a pension one of the witnesses was a William D. Haden. The application was signed in 1878 in Fluvanna. It has been suggested that my grgrandmother, Elizabeth, wife of John R.Pace b. 1809 may have been a Haden. I have never been able to document her maiden name. She was born abt.1815 and was the mother of JOhn walker Pace William H.Pace- m. Sarah Pace , dau. of Jesse James Llewellyn Pace- m.three times. Richard Alphonse Pace-m.
