My great-great-grandmother was Mary Ida Haden. I've found a lot of information about her on ancestry.com's databases but I don't know who her parents were. Here's what I know: She was born March 1860 in Mississippi, USA. Both parents were also born in Mississippi. She married James Alfred Dawkins in 1876. Source: 1900 United States Federal Census. In 1880, she lived in Jasper County, Mississippi, USA, presumably on James' father's farm, 5 miles east of Montrose. Source: 1880 United States Federal Census. In 1900 she lived in Beat 1, Jasper County, Mississippi, USA, presumably on the same farm. Source: 1900 United States Federal Census. In 1910 she lived in Beat 1, Jasper County, Mississippi, USA, presumably on the same farm. Source: 1910 United States Federal Census. In 1920 she lived in Beat 1, Jasper County, Mississippi, USA, presumably on the same farm. Source: 1920 United States Federal Census. No record for her in the 1930 census, presumably she had died by then. James Alfred Dawkins and Mary Ida Haden had 14 kids, one of which died in infancy. Laura Caroline (1878-1951) my great-grandmother Mary Minnie (1880-) Louisa (1882-) Robert Edward (1883-1963) Pinckney (1885-) (son) William S. (1886-) Anna J. (1887-bef 1910) Maybell B. (1891-) Mattie Jane (1893-) Burbon Rawls (1895-) he inherited the land Rosa Lee (1897-) Mamie (1900-) infant Lillie (1905-) In 1910, Mary Ida's mother Ginnie Haden was living with them, born in 1837 in Mississippi. She had had 4 kids, 1 of which (Mary Ida) was still living. Both of Ginnie's parents were born in North Carolina. Source: 1910 United States Federal Census. She is not mentioned in the 1920 census, so presumably she had died by then. Can someone help me find Ginnie's maiden name and husband's name? Thanks! Caitlin Notify Administrator about this message?
