Hi Freda, I'm also researching Hadens in the Midlands but I don't know if I can be of any help at the moment. I have a couple of questions though. Henry born 1842; was he born in B'ham or in Dudley as they are quite a distance from each other for registration purposes and Jane Evans 1845 was she born in the city or county of Worcester ?? I checked the Free BMD index a couple of minutes ago and found out that they were married 1867 3/4 6d 148 Birmingham; according to the IGI I found they were married 15 July 1867 at Saint Peter Dale End, Birmingham. You might have better luck using one of the Mormon 'Family History Centers' as most of them have the British Civil Registration from July 1837 up to the mid 1950's if not later. You could then use the information that you do have and work backwards from the present until the spouses name or the mother's maiden name is no longer referenced for marriage and birth entries.
If you would like to contact me I am available at
ladyt@sympatico.ca
Take care and good luck, Terry :)
