THE 99th ANNUAL IDE REUNION
Saturday, June 30th, 2001, at Frances Slocum State Park, picnic pavilion #1
Dear Ide Descendants:
Because everyone had such a great time celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Founding of Idetown, last September, the Ide Reunion Committee thought that this year, it would be fun to return to Frances Slocum State Park for an old fashioned day-long get together.
We hope that many of you perhaps might want to make this a weekend--long event and therefore, have provided a brochure on the park, which is only about 10 miles from Idetown. We have the ability to arrange for campsites in the same park, provided you get back to us with your needs.
You will note on the brochure, Pavilion #1 is conveniently located and is wheelchair accessible. It is equipped with tables and bench seats, two fire pits, and has a roof in case of rain.
The Ide Reunion will be a wonderful day filled with activities for the entire family. It will be a time for fellowship, rediscovering family traditions, updating the family tree, playing some games, singing some songs, and sharing family recipes.
All you need to bring is your family, a covered dish to share and a smile.
Because this will also be the time to update your genealogy for the millennium Edition of the Ide Family HIstory, please bring that information with you. Don't for get to bring pictures, old and new!
We will be sending out a more detailed update to those who respond to the questionaire. We look forward to hearing from you.
