Julia was born 1865 Bedford, Bedford County, PA. Was apparently swept off her feet by a handsome young Jacoby who married her and whisked her off to Philly. Alas, either he died or they divorced: she later married a West; alack, all traces of any of these folks are beyond my ken. Her parents are David R and Catherine Gardner of Bedford. I suspect the Jacoby family was wealthy enough to "summer at the Springs" -- a well-known spa/resort in Bedford. Lotsa Jacobys in the Philly area; ANY info or clues would be greatly appreciated..Thanks ! -j.
