Hi, A long shot but my great, great grandfather Carl August Christian Kaiser emigrated to Australia from Alsace Germany in 1849. At the same time a brother (name unknown) emigrated to the USA. My great grandfather the second born and therefore not continuing the father's name was called Heinrich Lois Emile Kaiser (born in 1854).The eldest son having been called August Martin Kaiser continued the father's name. My grandfather also carries the Heinrich as Henry, one of his names. Was wondering if perhaps the name Heinrich might have been the name of the brother. Do you have any links to Alsace in the 1840's? Chris
