My name is Laura Jones & I have just discovered this forum.
I have read many of the queries & responses regarding Jean Baptiste LaBrie but am still puzzled about some things. First - let me explain my lineage -
Jean Baptiste LaBrie & Perpeture Demers daughter Sarah b) Mar. 21,1848 married Aristide Mireault (Mireau) b) Oct.30, 1839 in Quebec m)Apr. 19, 1869 in Livingston Co. Mo.
Their children included:
Eugene Joseph - Hilaire Gilbert - Pamelia - Charles Norbert - Louis Aristide - Monique Laura - Joseph Mose - Marie Olivine - George Bonaventure - Alece Julie - Grace Perpeture.
My grandfather - George Bonaventure was born Sept. 6, 1888 in Cedar Lake Wisconsin.
My questions concern the name or names of Jean Baptiste's father - I have seen a Jean Baptiste Mignault - a Joseph Mignault dit LaBrie - a John Mignault dit LaBrie & a Jean Baptiste Mignault dit LaBrie - all show him married to Marie DuBois & being born in 1796 in either Normandy France or Quebec.
I am not sure which name is correct. I even found a Jean Baptiste Junior married to Perpeture Demers & Senior married to Marie DuBois with a Joseph Mignault as Jean Baptiste senior's father. I am so confused!
I know nothing of any preceding generations. I would be so grateful for any help or information. Thank you - Laura L. Jones
