Hello cousins!

Amadee was my grandmother, Annie's older brother. I believe they were all born in Winslow, Maine but I will have to look that up. I never met him but I remembered the name because it is so unusual. They had four other sisters, Florence (LaChance) died in Winslow, Maine, Leda, (most probably the same Leda LaCasse noted on this site as last address: Brunswick, Me born 10/August/1887, died 03/97), Alice (I don't remember her married name) and Lydia, 31/Oct/1901 who married a Bolduc and died in Waterville Jan 1982 (I knew her very well, sadly, she died of Alzheimers). Their parents were Charles LaCasse and Leda (Fortin) LaCasse. I didn't know them, but I was told greatgrandmother Leda had a stroke and eventually died in Winslow (I think she was living with daughter, Florence.) Our greatgrandparents had a big farm and several of their children (Florence, Alice, my grandmother, then my father)built houses next to each other on the land. They sold lots when they needed money and now it is a traditional small town neighborhood.
