Hmmm. I checked Family Search, and they have a record of a marriage between Elizabette Galliard and John Hyascinte Lacase, and another one for her and John Baptist LaCasse. They both show the marriage as having occurred on 7/22/1822, and the first one that the bride was born about 1801. This would make Elizabeth about the same age as John’s children. Definitely not impossible, but surprising. I will have to keep looking at this.

Somewhere I got a date of birth for the younger John LaCasse as 1797, but I don’t know where I got that.
