I am looking for any Mardis' resided/resides in Mississippi or Georgia especialy those that came from Alabama.
Some known names are James William "Willie" and Lunar Unknown Mardis. 1820 census in Lamar Co. MS. Had two daughters and three sons on census. Buried Sumrail, Lamar Co. Oral Church Cem.
Also may be some descendants of Matthew Vester Mardis. At least two sons in MS. One Clyde Gilford Mardis I think in Tippah Co. Another Leroy not sure where in MS. Other children of Matthews that may have went to MS. are Homer D.; Lonnie, Maude; Pearl, Anna Mae, Julia Sylvania, Floyd and Velver
Carrol "C.W. Mardis and family GA.
Martha Catherine Mardis married to James madison Fortner/Faulkner and family in GA.
Plus any others I don't know as may be connected in some way I have not found yet.awilson@awesomenet.net
