I am looking for informationon Amy and Kate Mardis. They were in the household of my husband's grandfather in Jefferson County, MS in 1920. They were listed as Geoghegan children like his own, but I am told by family members that their name was Mardis. Amy was 2 and Katie was 1 in 1920. I would love to know how they came to be there. No one in the family remembers. There were other Mardis families in Jefferson County in 1920 but I do not know if these two little girls are related.
I would appreciate any help.
