Does anyone have information of the Mearas in County Kerry please?
I have John Meara/Marah possibly born Kenmare
(may have married):
1/ Catherine McClure - daughter, Sarah Jane Marah b1859, Dromore, Kenmare.
2/ Sarah Fuller - daughter, Francesca Helen Marah born c1860-64, possibly Kenmare.
Sarah Jane and Francesca Helen are my maternal g/grandmothers and the names Meara and Marah both figure as middle names through the family
My grandfather said that 2 of his cousins (Timothy and William Meara) emigrated to Australia in the late 1800's but I can find no pasenger records for them.
