Thank you so much Susan for all your information. I was aware of this Jane Padden living in Chatham, my Jane lived most of her life in Maidstone only a few miles from Chatham. From your info I can deffinately say that this is not my Great Grandmother who married John Cormack in 1871 at the age of 20 in Weston Super Mare, and then married my great grandfather John Hann in 1885 at Maidstone, Kent. I still can't deffinately say who her parents were, her fathers name was John and there was a Jonh and Elizabeth living in Weston Super Mare, but Elizabeth died from smallpox in 1854. I have recently taken possession of my great grandmothers trunk that she used to travel with and when putting a coat of varnish on the initials A B appeared, is this a link to Agnes?. Thank you once again I am amazed at the all the info that you have very kindly provided.
