We are most definatlly related. Your Grand father (Stuart) is my Grandfathers brother My Dad is Alfred. I don't know If I have ever met you though. I have visited your grandfather in Osnabrock (sp?) several times.
I will be home in Langdon this summer (July 4th-8th) for Marcie Wedding. I do not know if you heard aobut the wedding or not. But I will be out on the blue ribbon farm sometime around then. I will also be bring all my geneology stuff. I hope to take it to Merle so he can see it. I will be happy to share it with you.
With that said, if you like we have set up a Yahoogroup specifaclly for your Ancestor James. Anyone who is related to him is welcom to join. The just go to yahoogroups.com and seach for Padden. We have resources and pictures uploaded. (inculding pictures of Tom and Alfred and the other brothers)
If you do talk to Merle please tell him that my father and I wish him well and that we will visit this summer.
As for more info, that would be wonderful. If you can fill things in that I don't know I would be very greatful. It funny I have gotten our linage all the way back to europe but I do not have the info on people who are alive now that are decended from Alfred.
