Hi Linda -
This post is out of order, but I wanted to catch your attention regarding Micajah Reeder. We have chatted before because Micajah Reeder witnessed the Will of my GGGGG grandfather, Reuben Rowland in 1806 Livingston Co., KY.

I still have not located a Judith Rowland but I am 99% sure that she was NOT Reuben's daughter. The name Judith might be traced back to Judith Adams Clark, the mother in law of Reuben's brother, Henry Rowland.

Perviously you asked about the identity of Reuben's wife and I realized I never quite answered you. She was Anna Blalock (b. 1745-1829 Livingston/Caldwell Co., KY) I know the dates because they are on her tombstone near Princeton, KY. I know she was the d/o John Blalock who left a Will in 1790 in Newbbery Co., SC. That Will named Reuben Rowland and Micajah BENNETT as legatees along with their children. Both Bennett and Rowland had married Blalock's daughters. My GGGG grandfather, John HOusen Bush witnessed that Will.

I did find some land records for your Reeder family in Newberry Co that you might not have. Hopefully they'll hold some clues for you!

The John Blalock name above is actually the son of John Blalock who died in Newberry Co in 1790 and the B-i-l of my Reuben Rowland.

Believe me, Linda - I want to know who this Judith Rowland was as much as you! Have you found anything else? Where did the idea that Judith was a Rowland come from, anyway?? Would love to hear from you!

Another Linda
