Hi Kimberly,
Sounds to like there is some kind of connection, but not any that I know of right now. My Jonathan Sadler's parents were Jonathan Sadler (1816-?) and Mary Millikin (1810-1885) both born in Ireland. I do believe that there is at least one other son named Thomas, he was well educated, a doctor I think.
The oldest son of Jonathan and Sophia moved to CA early in the 1900's. Sorry I am not much help at this time, but if I learn more I will sure keep you posted.
