Please excuse that I am jumping in between, but I do lots of anchestry research, mainly for others. So I collect items on local flea markets for support. Now I got some books just today where the name von Banchet and one time also Segond von Banchet is written in. The books are concerning literature regarding Goethe and Shakespear, printed in 1874/1875. The language is german so I guess the owner will have been german. There is mentioning of
two places, Berlin and Kreiensen in the 1960th where von Banchet seemed to have lived at least during that time. The books are in a very poor condition (but I only was interested in the wood engraving pictures) so I guess they were thrown away and those items often end up on flea markets. In sum I just wanted to pass on the information, which you probably know anyway, there were von Blanchet in Germany around 187x and 196x(Berlin/Kreiensen, differnet from todays phone-book entrys).
Friendly Regards,
Manfred
