The John (Jack) Klanchar that I knew would have been born around 1907, my father's age. He was constable of Upper St. Clair Township for at least 30 years and is well known. USC has a great history program. Perhaps you can find one of Jack's descendants (his wife's name was Nadine)on the chance that they may still live there. Secondly, the USC historical society ought to know all the details of the three Hoffman families in USC, as they owned a good chunk of the township.
