Here's a bit: Beatrice A. Smillie 216 W. Queen St. Toronto Sept 16, 1907 I looked at your other Smillie/Smiley posts. Elen and Guy are "French" names, right? They look as if they might be spelled phonetically, the way Helen, or Ellen, would be pronounced by a French speaker. And Guy rhymes with Smillie, if pronounced properly. The family of engraver James Smillie came from Scotland to Quebec, I think. It's in that book, if I could only find it.
