The Summer 2007, Catalog XIV,of Austin T. Miller American Antiques, Inc.,(www. usfolkart.com)as item 15 pictures a tavern sign, dated 1835, with the name of the proprietor below, Asa Taft of Worcester Co., Massachusetts. This fine sign should be made known to the Taft family. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family, historic, and folk art value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a sign of a Pease family tavern, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
