On February 12, 2009 Thelma J. Taft (born Thelma J. Schars) passed away in Everett, WA. She was born in Olympia on August 5, 1921.
Thelma was married to William Rucker Taft, who can be found in the Chapin Family books.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on New Years Day 1983. She is survived by two sons, Norman F. (Sparky) and his wife, Jean Ann, from Mukilteo, WA, William R. (Bill), Jr. and his wife, Judie, from Lake Stevens, WA,; former daughter-in-law, Kay Jean Taft, of Redmond, WA; six grandchildren, twin girls Toni Taft, of Bellingham and Tami McHugh, of Kuna, Idaho; Robert (Bob) Taft, of Blaine, WA; Billy Taft, of Everett, Tyler Taft, of Seattle, WA, and Julene Jones, of Everett; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
