Taft Family Association DNA Study
Posted by: Neil B. Todd (ID *****6349) Date: July 13, 2005 at 11:33:59

An ongoing DNA study has unambiguously established the Y-chromosome profiles of Robert[1]Taft of Mendon, Mass., and Matthew[1]Taft of Upton, Mass. These two men have been found to not be closely related to one another.

Subjects are now sought of English Tafts to see if matches can be found to these two early immigrants to America. TFA is very interested in learning of any British or Irish Tafts who can trace their ancestry back to at least the end of the 18th century. Anyone interested in this study should contact me by email (<neilbtodd@cs.com>).
