I have come to a fullstop in my research of Alexander Tait and his wife Mary Connolly both of whom were born in Ireland.
Alexander and Mary lived in Old Monkland Lanarkshire where they first appeared on the 1851 Census until his death in 1884.
I would approximate the year of birth as being 1821 and 1823 respectively.
Any help would be appreciated.
