Judge Charles Tait "Diary"

In Ethel Updike's book, "Tate & Allied Families of the South", she
uses a reference several times to a 'Judge Charles Tate(Tait) (1768 VA-1835 AL) Diary.' I have searched libraries and archives in several southern states, but no one seems to know anything about a "diary". It contains family information on his ancestors, which I would like to have, since they are my ancestors, also. Has anyone any information on this?
