My great aunt, Tennie Wallin married a John Tait. I have had lots of difficulty finding any info on them as well. She was born abt. 1870 and in the 1880 census, she was living at her parents home in Union, LaClede, Missouri. I found a couple of old diary entries posted on the internet that mentioned, "Mrs. John C. Tait, nee Tennie Wallin, came to Phillipsburg (Mo.) to visit friends and family. This was ca. 1900. I also have a couple of postcards she sent to my grandfather that were postmarked Phillipsburg, ca. 1910.
