SPRINGFIELD - Alexander Tait, 90, of Springfield died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born March 2, 1916, in Ashington, England, the son of George and Margaret Petrie-Smith Tait. He married Dorothy Brouillet in 1969 in Westchester.
Mr. Tait was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an electrical engineer for Commonwealth Edison for 25 years, retiring in 1971. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chatham.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great-niece and nephew.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chatham, the Rev. Robert Franzen officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Bisch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
