I am trying to trace John Tait b 1850 in West Linton, Peeblesshire and any of his descendants.
John was the son of Peter Tait & Christina Fairley.
He married Jane Hudson Kay (b 1854 Cairneyhill, Dumfermline) in 1875 in Dunfermline.
John was a mason to trade and he and Jane had 3 children that we know of
(1) Peter Tait b 31st July 1876 in Glasgow
(2) Margaret Tait b 10th February 1878 in Cathcart, Glasgow
(3) Christina Fairley Tait b 29th March 1880 in Innerleithen, Peeblesshire
There may have been more born after they left Scotland.
They are last found on the Scottish records in the 1881 Census living in Isle Croft, Innerleithen, Peeblesshire.
No trace of them in the English records.
