Hi

I am desperately trying to learn more about my Tait and Sherar/Shearer connection.I have a Robert Tait, a Cooper in the Parish of South Leith who marries Janet Sherer/Sherar/Shearer on 28th February 1834 in South Leith.

Janet is the daughter of Francis Sherer/sherrier/Sherar/Shearer, Porter dealer and mother is Janet Dennis/Dinnis. From a family letter it says they were residing in London in 1860.

We have not been able to find anything else on them, no records of children and or their deaths to date. They seem to have vanished or I am looking in the wrong places.
