I am building a Family Tree of Taits coming from Liverpool to NY in September 1848 on the ship Richard Cobden. They are William and Mary (Johnston) Tait, and their children Joseph 13, Adam 12, Andrew 9, Elizabeth 7, Agnes 5 and William 3. Also a brother of William's, David Tait 16, is shown on the Passenger List. They are shown as coming to Canada, but William and Mary stayed or went back to the US, Andrew and his younger brother william came back to Orillia, Ontario when Andrew was 27. Does anyone have any connections to these Taits?
Andrew and William Tait came to Orillia, Ontario in 1866 My family is directly related to Andrew Tait (1839-1935).
