Mornin' Cathy, in column 30 that's not a "W" it's a "NO". Looking at nearby pages when the answer was "YES", this enumerator wrote "WW" for WWI in col 31. If Joseph registered for the draft in 1918, which was a civil requirement, he would have registered as having a wife and at least one child. So it's unlikely he would have been called to military service. He could however, have enlisted. But if so, why the "no" in column 30, and why a blank in 'which engagement" in col. 31. Dick
