Wagoner is one who drove a wagon pulled by a horse, usually in the Trains - Engineer; Sanitary - food, medical,or supply; Ammunition; or Artillery. It is not a rank - It is a duty, like horseshoer, cannon loader or bugler. All Companies, Regiments, Divisions had them - It did not make any difference where they trained or were based.
