I'd just like to add that my father, Peter Wible,(now deceased) from Philadelphia, served in Eurpoe with the 508th, 3rd battalion I Company, infantry. And recently, I read an obituary in our county paper of a James Herbert Whelan, of Levittown PA. who also served with the 508th in Europe.

One other note. I remembered a book my father sometime after the war, a history of the 508th. This book was long lost but I was able to get a copy, from where, I forget, it's been a while, but the author is William G. Lord II.
