My father's name is Raymundo and he has two brothers and two sisters-Juan, Joe, Linda, and Lupe(deceased). The all live in San Antonio. Every couple of years the extended family has a family reunion south of San Antonio and this year it will be on Labor Day weekend in a couple of weeks.
I am very interested in our family history however the family, to date, does not have a record of the family tree. My father looks like Emiliano from old pictures that the family has. I am very hesitant to have a Genealogist research the family mainly because I don't want to get false information just to get the answer that they may think I want.
My grandparents died when I was very young and I have vague memories of them. I believe my grandfather's name was Munoz Zapata. My Dad's generation may be the last opportunity to get vital information from our family history so it is my goal to clear up as much of the history for them as I can.
If you are a Zapata or you have any affiliation with the family you are invited to the reunion. My Dad's e-mail is below if you are interested and need directions. The reunion usually lasts the entire weekend with a family picture taken at the end.
