My grandfather, Jose Leon Diaz, was born in 1880 in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was married to Marcelina Perez, born in 1900, Rockport, Texas. His parents were Caralampio de Leon, died 1882, and Genoveva Diaz, died 1905. Marcelina's parents were Manuel Perez, died November 1918, and Fabiana Zapata, died 1931. Jose's brothers and sisters were Tomas, Desiderio, Julian, Teofilo, Francisca, Jesusa, and Manuela. All I know about them is that they had RED hair. Marcelina's brothers and sisters were Severo (Severa?), Luis, Olegario and Refugio. I know that after Jose Leon Diaz and Marcelina Perez were married, their first child was COnsuelo Margot Diaz, born in Matagorda, Texas. They then moved to Santa Barbara, California, and had eight more children, my aunts and uncles. My mother tried to contact the family in Mexico and Texas for many years, but was never able to make any contacts. If anyone has any information about this family, I would love to know about them.
