I'm currently researching my family history. If you have anything to add to my research or questions please contact me via this message board. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
My maternal grandfather was Juan Zapata born in Lajas Puerto Rico.
He married Felipa(Fela) Rodriguez Rivera of Cabo Roho in 1905-06.
They had four children, my Mother Justina Zapata Rodriguez being the oldest. She had a brother (Ramon) born in 1914 and twin sisters who died at the age of 3-1/2 years old.
My grandfather Juan had three sisters. They were Juanita, Paula and Catalina ( who died in childbirth ). He died in
1931.
My great-grandparents on my Mother's side were Martin Rodriguez and Petrona Rivera. In total they had 7 children.
They were Justo, Pablo Liberado (Lato), Victorio, Maria (my God-Mother), Ana (Anita), Felipa (Fela- my grandmother), and a 12 year old brother who left Puerto Rico with his Godfather. They were going to Santo Domingo but were never heard of since.
